| Abstract | Emotional education is proposed within the framework of education at all stages in life. It is aimed at developing emotional competency, which is considered essential for life. The concept of emotional education is outlined, including its objectives and contents. In order to be able to introduce programs of emotional education teachers require training. A program for the initial stages of teacher training in emotional competency is proposed. Further, the importance of in-service training is indicated. Finally, some emotional education practical exercises are included. This article is the result of several years of empirical research by GROP (Grup de Recerca in Orientacio Psicopedagogica). |
