| Abstract | In this article it is presented the extraction algorithms of characteristic, classification and verification of images of fingerprints in big databases. which have been implemented in our thesis work. It has been used sophisticated techniques of image processing in the different stages of the system. in the extraction stage of characteristic the central point of the print has been located through the index of Poincare and using a bank of filters of Gabor 2D ilS denominated characteristic representation FingerCode has been obtained; in the classification stage it has been used k-nearest neighbor and neural networks, and in the verification stage the algorithm of distance of Euclides has been used. lt has been carned out tests of the system in the denominated database Fingerprint Verification Competition (FVC). |
