| Abstract | Natural heritage of Teruel: amphibious, reptiles, birds and mammals. This essay is a synthesis of a conference in the second meeting about the natural heritage of Province of Teruel. The conference was carried out in September of 2001. Then, I analyse the species number of birds that inhabit the Province of Teruel. Two geographical areas, the Maestrazgo and Albarracín Mountains show the higher number of species. We also indicated that the present species were the result of a dynamic process as consequence of the extinctions, invasions, colonisation and other biogeographical processes. The effect of the man in recent times was also discussed. |
