| Abstract | The objective of this study was to analyse the response Sclerolobium paniculatum (carvoeiro) growth after fertilization with phosphorus, nitrogen, potassium, micronutrients and lime in order to evaluate its viability for reforestation in cerrado areas. The experiment was performed on red dark latosol in Planaltina, Federal District and it was design as randomized blocks with five treatments and three replications. The height of plants at 15, 36 and 180 months after planting and basal area, volume and survival at 36 and 180 months after planting were evaluated. Fertilization increased the specie’s growth, but did not affect survival rate. The carvoeiro seem to be suitable for reforestation of cerrado areas, but soil need to be fertilized. |
