| Abstract | This research aims to analyze the digital literacy in the teaching practice of Portuguese teachers in Middle School. Following the Applied Linguistics principles, the theoretical background is grounded in Araújo (2008), Coscarelli (2007), Freitas (2010), Ribeiro (2009), Ribeiro (2013), Saito e Sousa (2011) e Soares (2002). It was adopted the qualitative approach to the research, using the technique of interview with 03 (three) Portuguese teachers and the method of observation visiting 03 (three) public school of the municipal education network in Teresina-PI, in the first semester of 2016. It was used a standard interview script to generate data. The results of the research show that the teacher's lack of time, structure in schools and planning of didactic activities can hinder teachers' digital literacy. It is concluded that there is digital literacy in a moderate degree in the teaching practice of Portuguese teachers in the Middle School that participated in the research. |
