| Abstract | A nocao de que existe certa tensao entre as atividades economicas e o ambiente natural nao e recente. Estudos tem evidenciado que a insercao da dimensao ambiental na gestao corporativa pode trazer ganhos de competitividade para as organizacoes, alem de melhorar sua imagem diante de seus stakeholders . No bojo desse cenario estao as agroindustrias e fornecedores de cana-de-acucar atuantes no setor sucroenergetico que apresentam forte expansao e significativos impactos economico, social e ambiental. A pesquisa objetivou analisar o nivel de gestao ambiental de industrias do setor sucroenergetico localizadas na Microrregiao de Assis/SP, a partir da implementacao e execucao das Diretivas Tecnicas do Protocolo Agroambiental. Realizou-se um estudo de multiplos casos em quatro Agroindustrias, dois Fornecedores e uma Associacao de Fornecedores. Como auxilio a analise de conteudo utilizou-se o software ATLAS.ti. Os resultados permitiram concluir que a adesao voluntaria ao Protocolo influenciou, significativamente, o nivel de gestao das agroindustrias e fornecedores, embora, com excecao da AGR2, as demais mantem-se consolidadas no Nivel Intermediario de gestao ambiental, com destaque paras as agroindustrias AGR1, AGR3 e AGR4 que apresentaram algumas caracteristicas do Nivel Avancado, o que pode sugerir o viso de um avanco a um patamar de maior excelencia na gestao ambiental. The notion that there is some tension between economic activities and the natural environment is not new. Studies have shown that the inclusion of environmental concerns in corporate management can bring competitiveness gains for organizations, as well as improve their image before their stakeholders. In the midst of this scenario are the agribusiness and sugarcane suppliers operating in the sugarcane industry that have strong growth and significant economic, social and environmental impacts. The research aimed to analyze the level of environmental management sugarcane industry of industries located in Assis/SP micro-region from the implementation and execution of Technical Policy of the Agro-environmental Protocol. We conducted a study of multiple cases in four Agribusiness two Suppliers and Suppliers Association. As an aid to content analysis used the ATLAS.ti software. The results showed that the voluntary accession to the Protocol influenced significantly the level of management of agro-industries and suppliers, though, except for AGR2, the others remain consolidated in the Intermediate Level of environmental management, especially paras AGR1 the agribusinesses, AGR3 and AGR4 presenting some features of the Advanced Level, which may suggest the vision of a breakthrough to a higher level of excellence in environmental management. |
