| Abstract | This thesis explores the idea of a computer-based Draw Teaching using tools such as Expert Systems, CAD and Computer-Assisted-Leaming. An Expert System, called SECADCOT, was based on the knowledge of an experienced drawing teacher and the NBR10126, a rule dictated by the Brazilian technical norms association, about dimensioning in technical drawings. The SECADCOT, simulating a technical drawing expert, allows the Architecture, Engineering and Mathematical students, a general knowledge evaluation and diagnosis. The tools used to develop this proposal, consisted of an Expert System shell and a CAD system The last is needed for dimensioning the drawings which are the input data for the system modeled with the former. The SECADCOT was validated by experts and students from the Mechanical and Production Engineering courses of the Federal University of Santa Catarina. In conclusion, the validation results proved that the proposed system not only behaves as an expert, making drawing teaching easier, but it also shows a friendly manmachine interface. |
