| Abstract | The study, based on the constructivism, is aimed to an epistemic alternative educational platform for solving mathematical problems, taking as intervention framework, the Venezuelan Basic Education. The general purpose of this research is to generate an interpretative approach of the constructivism as an epistemological alternative educational platform in solving mathematical problems in Venezuelan Basic Education. Its method is directed to the Ethnomethodology, under the perspective of the qualitative paradigm, phenomenological and interpretative. The structuring of the discursive net comes from the forms through which students of this educational level construct mental representations, during the process of mathematical learning. Daily dynamic of pedagogical practices is emphasized, specifically in Primary School, by which categorical nuclei, such as experiences, attitudes, and didactic action emerged. Likewise, knowledge building and social representations. The essence, that transcends the phenomenon under study from the inherent psychological discussions for solving mathematical problems, considering constructivism as an integrative educational content reference in learning mathematics, is conceived. In that sense, a conceptual demarcation between exercises and problems that give meaning, understanding and interpretation must be established, in which epistemic is involved in reference to the construction of the student knowledge, teaching mediation and methodology for solving mathematical problems. Knowledge cannot be mediated without the knowledge of mathematical concepts. From this complex criteria net, arguments about constructivism, as an epistemological platform, are considered as a base of an alternative didactic, potentially employable in facilitating learning for mathematical problems solving. |
