| Abstract | Currently, the student-centered process of learning and teaching helps the student develop skills to create, research, transform and apply his own knowledge in several contexts. In this, teaching strategies that aim to improve these skills become particularly relevant. With said goal, an activity was put into practice in a university Calculus course consisting of the resolution of an open and real life problem in which the students would develop their skills for "mathematical modeling". Polls show positive feedback among students. Finally, the achievements reached through the activity are analyses. |
