| Abstract | In this article it is supported that the social representations that are made for school children, about the teacher's image, affect the process of citizenship formation. These representations are considered conclusive to better up or to obstruct the growth, from school, of a citizen's concept that would consider children as rightholders capable of critically contributing in the making of an involved democratic society. In this process, the children's social representations coming from teachers involve the teacher's handling of knowing being able and affection in the classroom interpersonal relations. |
