| Abstract | This paper aims to investigate changes in the Combinatorics chapter of High School textbooks, resulting from the publication of the 2012 National Textbook Program Guide (PNLD). We used the theoretical tools from the Onto-semiotic Approach to Mathematics Knowledge and Instruction in order to present the changes in mathematical objects (situations and languages) related to Combinatorics in two books from the same publisher, published prior to the guide and another published after the guide. A decrease in the number of combinatorial situations between books was observed and also the deleting of circular permutation problems. Regarding language, there is the presence of different resolution strategies in some solved problems, correction in notations and the decrease of the formula strategy; however, combination problems still use the formula as main solving strategy. |
