| Abstract | A sample of 50 teachers of both sexes teaching in Spanish elementary and middle education was used to research on individual differences in teachers’ causal attributions. The results were as follows: 1) female teachers consider students can control their failure causes in a higher degree than male teachers do; 2) the more experienced teachers are, the less stressed they feel and the more stability they find in their pupils’ failure; 3) higher level teachers find more stability in their pupils’ success; and 4) teachers working at state schools find more stability in their pupils’ failure and show a higher degree in depression and stress than their counterparts at private school. |
