| Abstract | At this work of master degree it was done the historic analysis of museums and of the education at Brazilian museums on the 19th and 20th centuries, noticing strategies that stimulate the contact of the public with the original work of art. Isolate educative actions from the beginning of museum history remain until today, even so there are some organized sectors developing systemized educative actions, by the use of current methodologies of art education, with the lecture of visual codes, pedagogical activities of reception and presentation to the public, including the use of strategies of aesthetic experience given by the proper works of art. It is registered the analysis of MAC-USP, MAC-Niteroi and MAC-RS, presenting the history from their beginning to their specific methodologies and educational programs. It is also commented the historic transformation of the museums functional activities since ancient times up to modern and contemporary art museums in Brazil. It is observed that historic events do not have enough linearity that may lead to foreseen results or consequences. At last, it is analyzed the political role of the educational action at the museums, considering its educational character and the urgent need to open the space of the museums to people, thus providing the access to the original works of art and the idea that museum is for all. |
