| Abstract | In this paper we present a study in which the practice of solving a set of mathematical modelling problems performed by a university lecturer is described. The conceptual map technique, interpreted in the light of the Onto-semiotic Approach, is used to graphically describe the configuration of mathematical objects organised by the lecturer during problem solving. This configuration was obtained from the oral and written production that was collected by the use of an electronic pen. The visualization, through the conceptual map, of the characteristics of the concepts and processes network brought into play in the problem solving allows having an approach to the meanings associated by the subject. |
