| Abstract | The need for an Environmental Education for Sustainability is evident through various documents and recognized by the international community generally. In this context, curricular guidelines of Natural Science, Biology and/or Geology suggest performing small investigations, preferably including laboratory and field activities, teaching resources that can contribute to the construction of the principles of environmental education, as well as to achieve objectives of that education. The implementation of these investigations, in schools requires certain conditions conducive to the realization of integrated field and laboratory activities in environmental education approach. A school located in Airães – Felgueiras, Porto, Portugal, is a good example in this regard. To promote the realization of practical activities, through the "Experimental Science Project" and join the " Ponds with Life Program ", initiated an investigative journey, characterized by horizontal and vertical articulations, based on local environmental issues. |
