| Abstract | Much scientific work on drama and drama techniques at school has shown the effects of these practices on cognition when it comes to learning a foreign language. In this article, I shall study a pedagogical sequence whose aim was to have business students play professional situations. I examine the verbal and non-verbal interactions in light of the paradigm of enaction (Varela) so as to determine to what extent drama can become a pedagogical device to strengthen communication skills (including linguistic competences) and help learners co-construct transferable professional abilities.
