| Abstract | Adjusting to the environment in which organizational strategies are inserted has been considered increasingly important for organizational survival. The research seeks to verify the relationship between the environmental uncertainty perceived by managers, described in the model proposed by Duncan (1972), and strategic behavior, as proposed by Miles and Snow (1978), adopted by Hotel Managers of Florianópolis-SC over the last five years. A quantitative and descriptive approach was selected, using a questionnaire as the data collection tool. The results obtained demonstrate that for some Administrators, the environment is seen as Static-Simple and for others, as Dynamic-Complex. In relation to the strategic behavior adopted by the Managers, it was observed that 45% of them adopt prospecting behaviors, 31% analytical, 19% reactive and 5% defensive. The predominant strategic behavior was therefore prospective. Based on the data, it can be concluded that some Hotel Mangers of Florianópolis perceive the environment with reduced uncertainty, while for others, there is a high level of perception of uncertainties. But regardless of perceptions, the majority adopt prospective behaviors which are characterized by the search for new markets and the introduction of new products and services for clients.
