| Description | Journal: Iop Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering Microbial fuel cell was developed since it is one of the prospective alternative energy and eco-friendly, using urine as the fuel and Candida fukuyamaensis as a biocatalyst. Boron-doped diamond was used as the electrode. At pH 7, maximum power and current densities of 109.6 $mW/m^{2}$ and 970 $mA/m^{2}$ can be obtained, respectively. The results indicated the potency of the system to produce an alternative energy. Furthermore, glucose and creatinine in urine are proposed to be responsible as the carbon sources for the metabolism of C. fukuyamaensis. |
