| Description | Journal: Iop Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering This paper aims to obtain fundamental information on chemical homogenisation process of liquid steel with alloy additions in the bloom tundish. For alloy feeding to liquid steel pulse step alloying method was applied. Author checked the effect of hydrodynamic conditions occurs in the internal working space of tundish on the process of alloy mixing with liquid steel. Within the work basic and proposed tundish equipments were considered. Numerical modelling technique was employed to demonstrate the process of alloy addition mixing during continuous casting process. Ansys-Fluent computer program was used for numerical simulation. For particular continuous casting strands time mixing was calculated. |
