| Description | Journal: Journal of Physics D: Applied Physics A series of glass specimens was prepared from mixtures of CuO, CaO, $P_{2}O_{5}$ and CuI and their optical absorption coefficients were measured as functions of photon energy in the range 3.0 to 4.5 eV. From the results the values of the optical energy gap are calculated and found to depend quite sensitively on the added iodine. |
