Description	Journal: Physics World Many in the astronomical community are unhappy at a new definition of the term "planet" recently approved by the International Astronomical Union (IAU), which demotes Pluto to the status of "dwarf planet". Over 300 astronomers and planetary scientists have signed a petition condemning both the definition itself and the way in which it was arrived at.
