| Description | Journal: Journal of Physics E: Scientific Instruments A computer-controlled TDS system for dielectric measurements using voltage pulses of 80 ps duration instead of step functions is described. This method allows the separation of the test signal from the response in time and reduces some difficulties inherent in methods working with step functions. The dielectric function epsilon ( omega ) of solids and liquids can be determined from the reflection response between 0.3 and 10 GHz and up to 15 GHz in favourable cases. Examples of application are given for 1-propanol and ferroelectric $PbHPO_{4}$. |
