| Description | Reliable safety systems are becoming increasingly necessary in cities worldwide. Although there is increasing improvement in technology, we have been required to pay attention to our lived environments. Indoor air quality (IAQ) is one of the most critical issues as ordinary people spend 90% of their time in a closed environment. Many health problems are caused by inhaling air pollution. Several investigations have been done on monitoring and controlling IAQ using Internet of Things (IoT) technology and how to reduce indoor air pollution that affects human health. In this chapter, the essential findings in the literature up to now in this evolving field have been reviewed, particularly the experimental details and the advantages of the various types of IAQ monitoring and controlling based on IoT systems that have been proposed. Moreover, the significant prospects for IoT technology are highlighted along with the future directions for further research in IAQ systems. Book Name: Healthcare Systems and Health Informatics |
