Description	This chapter presents an up-to-date survey on the influence of a global pandemic like Covid-19 on IoT technologies and its environment. It discusses the contributions of IoT and associated sensor technologies in tracing, monitoring, and preventing the virus spread. Consequently, in this chapter, the difficulties in deploying sensor hardware amidst rapidly spreading infections are also addressed. The implications of the global pandemic on the evolution of IoT architectures and infrastructure management is also reviewed, impacting potential effects for prospective IoT implementation. Moreover, it primarily extends insight into the development of sensor-based e-health in managing the global pandemic and determines the issue and impact of a worldwide pandemic that has influenced IoT's future.
