| Description | The work is devoted to the development of the method for calculating structures and structures under stress. Finite element models based on the approximation of discontinuous stress fields over the finite element domain are considered. The necessary relations for some planar finite elements are obtained. The effectiveness of the developed models is illustrated by numerical studies. It is shown that the model of discontinuous stress approximations gives a lower convergence of the solution, both in stresses and in displacements. In this case, the accuracy of the stress solution is significantly higher than the finite element method in the form of the displacement method.
