| Description | This paper reviews the issues associated with ensuring the quality of project design, based on the life cycle of major construction facilities. Major construction facilities have an extensive set of essential properties, required for meeting the needs of all parties involved in investment and construction, as well as the needs of the end users. For instance, an industrial facility is, first and foremost, characterized by its capacity for producing a specified amount of goods, as needed for efficient and profitable performance. We single out several challenges that accompany design solution quality management. These include the need for taking into account the specifics of using major construction facilities and the cost-effectiveness at the usage stage (from the user's point of view). We propose a comprehensive set of methods that allow for designing analytical models for the target indicators of complex major construction facilities. We also give some examples of creating such analytical models and provide recommendations for applying the methods selected in practice.
