| Description | Performance appraisal refers to the assessment of employees' current performance, work activity, and their capacity for future performance. The research study is based upon the performance appraisal System in Meridian Medicare Limited. The present research was carried out to evaluate the determinants of employee performance, satisfaction level, and impact of employees' performance in the pharmaceutical industry. The sample size of the employees was 60 and the data were gathered through the questionnaire. The data were analyzed using a percentage, mean, standard deviation, and regression model. The results of the study found that the majority of respondents were pleased with the performance appraisal system. The study found the six factors which influence the employee performance appraisal system in Meridian Medicare Limited, Himachal Pradesh, India. The results of the study showed that all six factors working environment, compensation salary and supervision, work efficiency, training and work performance, achievements and improvements, performance through motivation, and job satisfaction had a strong positive relationship with the performance assessment system. The multiple linear regressions also found that 79.2 percent of the variation in the performance appraisal system was explained by selected explanatory variables.
