Description	A total of 988 participants took part in the survey. Of the participants, 57.8% were women and 42.1% were men; 37.8% identified themselves as head of the household and 60% of the participants identified as the spouse of the head of the household. The majority of participants' average monthly household income lies between XAF 30,001–60,000 (40.2%). Eighty-seven percent reported having children under five years of age living in the household. Eighty-three percent of respondents stated that potable water is available to them, but 50.3% stated it was not available year-round; 11.8% of respondents stated the roundtrip from home to the water source and back takes more than an hour. Of the 988 respondents, 71.7% stated that they openly defecate; 91.4% stated they share their toilet facility with other households; 86.3% of respondents strongly agreed that open defecation provides no privacy and is bad. Respondents stated that household waste was openly dumped (97.1%) or burned (20.2%). When asked about health concerns for children under five in the household, 85.6% of children suffered from malaria, 12% suffered from diarrhoea, and 10.8% suffered from anaemia.
