| Description | The present study is concerned with the factors affecting vocational high school (SMK) teachers' teaching performance. The factors affecting teachers' teaching performance include: teachers' motivation, personality and emotion, competence, interest, work environment, school facilities and infrastructures, policy, administration, teachers' level of education, teaching supervision, development program, school culture, mental and physical condition, headmaster's leadership model, welfare guarantee, headmaster's managerial capability, training, and economic incentive. With these considerations, this study aims to empirically describe the effects of pedagogical competence, work motivation, school culture, and profession allowance variables, both individually and simultaneously, in relation to teachers' teaching performance. The study employs survey method, under quantitative approach, as the research methodology. The population for the study is teachers with teaching certifications in 50 SMKN in West Java. The findings show that pedagogical competence, work motivation, school culture and profession allowance variables have positive and significant influence upon teachers' teaching performance. Further, work motivation, school culture and professional allowance are important factors in increasing teaching performance. |
