Description	This chapter presents a case study on establishing a Business Architecture (BA) for DT. While this book focuses on EA, as discussed earlier, the BA forms an important part of the EA as it focuses on the business functions, their relationships, business processes, and people. This chapter is based on the lead author's practical experience in establishing the BAP at a healthcare IT business – Health-Is-US. The challenges most businesses in healthcare or any other field encounter today when establishing their BAP are very similar. The BAP is critical to business and IT alignment, as it influences the strategy on one hand and builds efficient operational solutions on the other. Most business leaders and IT executives today realize the value proposition of the BAP. However, it is still important to note that a well-governed and fully functional BAP relies on the maturity of the enterprise in embracing the BAP and overcoming the growing pains of the BAP across the organization. This case study provides insight into practical aspects of how a “consulting assignment” can be run for a client undertaking Digital Transformation (DT).
