| Description | As a new type of torsion damper for automobile, Dual Mass Flywheel (DMF) characterizes nonlinear hysteresis, due to the coupling of elastic force and damping force. The research on hysteresis, generally based on experimental data, helps to obtain the nonlinear dynamic characteristics of DMF. In order to measure the dynamic parameters of DMF, experiments with and without excitations are conducted, according to the working principle of DMF. The hysteretic and rotational speed-dependent characteristics of DMF are observed in the experiments. Further, the nonlinear dynamical regulation of stiffness and damping of DMF are investigated, providing a reliable experimental verification method to study the nonlinear dynamical characteristics of DMF.
