| Description | Functionally graded material (FGM) applications are increasing in various fields of engineering. Various theories and methods are reported by many researchers for bending, vibration, and buckling analysis of FGM structures. The present work presents a critical review of these theories and methods for analyzing FGM structures, e.g. beams, plates, and shells. This work includes the analysis of FGM structures under mechanical, hygrothermal conditions. Structures resting upon elastic foundations are also discussed.
