| Description | Two seven metre long bridge decks designed by the first author have been built in Tring, Hertfordshire to cross a stream in a nature park. The bridges are the first prestressed brick box girder decks and as such their performance is being subjected to intensive monitoring carried out by the University of Plymouth. The original intention was to also build two similar bridges using concrete in place of the masonry, however funding did not allow these extra structures to be built in this phase of the work.
