| Description | The doposit of Rozna in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands is the last locality, where uranium ore mining goes on, even in current social and economic conditions. The economics of mining has considerably improved thanks to the favourable situation at the deposit, i.e. the state of reserves of uranium ore, perfectly run opening works without the necessity for further big investment or the gradual applying of important rationalization steps. The cost of the unit of production has been brought near to the level of uranium prices on the world markets (spot price). A system of production has been developed on the basis of mutually compatible subsystems for the purpose of the economic mining operation. The system enables workers of different levels of operation access to data sets describing the production and gives them the possibility of corrective intervention into the production to reach projected output.
