| Description | Are you and your school ready for the challenge of shifting to a talent-focused philosophy? The purpose of this book is to provide educators in the field the foundational knowledge that both persuades and enables you to incorporate talent development as an essential philosophy in your school or your district. The knowledge that we, the authors and editors, share was drawn from experiences with talent development, specifically work in the Talent Development Academies (TDA) project (Swanson et al., 2019, 2020), as well as from some of the best thinkers in the field on talent development (e.g., Coleman et al., 2010; Horn, 2015; Little et al., 2018; Robinson et al., 2018; Stambaugh, 2018; Subotnik et al., 2018). We advocate for equitable opportunities for all students, an openness in teachers to see and build upon student strengths, and educators' engagement with learning to grow talent-focused teaching.
