| Description | Recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) is used in road construction to partially replace virgin aggregate via cement concrete and hot mix asphalt (HMA). The use of RCA in cold bituminous emulsion mix (CBEM) is an area that is mostly unexplored. Using RCA in CBEM will result in a mix that is more economical and environmentally friendly. So, the present study examines the effect of replacing virgin aggregates with RCA in CBEM. In the study, virgin aggregates are replaced with RCA in the proportion of 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, and 50% by the weight of total aggregates. Marshall stability, retained stability, Indirect tensile strength (ITS), and tensile strength ratio tests are performed. Results obtained from these tests were compared and it was concluded that RCA can be used to replace virgin aggregate in CBEM.
