Implications for teacher education and educational leadership preparation are offered.] This chapter examines the confluence among the aims of holistic, peace, and sustainability education and argues for an integrative approach to achieve a sustainable and peaceable future for the planet. Holistic education integrates the head, hand, and heart and promotes connection. Holistic education addresses fragmentation and disconnection of modern, technologically mediated human life. Sustainability education addresses the threat to the planetary life support system for the human species. The aims of holistic education are integration and connection—connection with self, other, community, the natural world, and the transrational. Holistic education, then, aims to cultivate this reverence for life and it aims to kindle the flames of the love of learning. Sustainability education aims to create positive outcomes through life-enhancing processes—process and outcome are critical. Sustainability education is education "about" sustainability.
