| Description | CLoE models are hypoplastic constitutive equations which have clearly demonstrated their ability to reproduce the observed behavior of geomaterials. From a theoretical viewpoint, some theorems have been proved about existence and uniqueness of boundary value problems involving these models. Moreover although these models are clearly thoroughly non linear a complete shear band analysis can be achieved in a close form which allows to use shear banding in a simple inverse problem to identify some parameter of the model. It is based on a decoupling between isotropic behavior and deviatoric one. The first one is elastic and the second can be seen as hypoplastic. A uniqueness theorem is proved, a complete shear band analysis is made which turn out to be similar to the previous ones. CLoe hypoplastic models have been developed during the last fifteen years.
