| Description | This chapter demonstrates an IBM-PC version of a software package developed at the Vrije University, Amsterdam, in cooperation with M. H. van Hoorn and L. P. Seelen. The package is organized as an iterative program consisting of various queuing models: the infinite-capacity GI/GIc queue, the finite-capacity GIIG/c queue, and the machine repair model. The specific interarrival and service time distributions covered by the package include deterministic, generalized Erlangian, and hyperexponential distributions. The package is fast and uses special-purpose iterative algorithms for the numerical solution of large-scale Markov chain equations.
