| Description | The proposed paper uses wavelet functions to determine the parameters and structure of the mathematical model based on the free oscillations of the physical ship model. Wavelet functions are versatile functions with a wide range of applications, including engineering practice. They are useful for solving integral and differential equations. Wavelet transformations are also applied to parameter identification and system modeling. In the paper biorthogonal wavelet functions are used for determination of the mathematical model parameters. The accuracy of the mathematical model is evaluated in various sampling intervals of the signal. The obtained results are analyzed, and conclusions are made.
