| Description | The internationalisation of higher education in Hong Kong should be viewed in a broader societal context as the region's future depends on the international capabilities of its workforce. Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IoC) is seen as an important means of making curricula relevant to both local and non-local students and enable them to develop intercultural and international values and capabilities. Internationalisation and IoC are stated as part of the strategic goals of all universities in Hong Kong. The intended learning outcomes also need to support the university's educational aims. A university-level teaching and learning centre exists in every university in Hong Kong, which supports the teaching and learning missions of the institutions and the teachers' continued professional development (CPD). The International Competence Profile for Educational Developers provides a very useful framework for professional development of educational developers.
