| Description | The shear behavior of a natural joint in a rock is a function of the morphology of each side of the fracture, of their match and of the nature of the rock constituing the asperities. In this paper we present a detailed study of the angularity and of the curvature of each side of a tensile fracture in a granite. We show how to deduce a 3D distribution of facets from 2D analysis of the angularity. To describe the morphology we realize a statistical and probabilistic study of angularity and curvature. These studies contribute to show that the successive facets and curvature along profiles are not independent and in relation with the geostatistical structures.
