| Description | In Portugal, fashion designers are thriving to succeed in an ever-changing industry, evolving into a new fashion design entrepreneur generation, filled with business opportunities in the post-crisis market. However, the lack of information, networking and business-creation knowledge can be a hard wall to come across, as fashion designers are not prepared in that sense by higher-education courses. The purpose of this study is to determine which solutions are being created and who are the people behind them. Using a qualitative methodology, interviews were held, directed to creators of solutions and platforms created in Portugal and in the UK, as well as experts of the fashion industry. Further analyzed through the qualitative analysis software Nvivo, the results obtained show the main difficulties felt by fashion design entrepreneurs, as well as recommendations for the creation of more platforms of the kind, in order to create sustainable and ethical fashion on smaller scales.
