Enantioselective Synthesis of Novel Enantiopure Phosphines via Reaction of a Tricarbonyl(η6-arene)chromium Complex with a Chiral Lithium Amide Base

| Description | A range of novel phosphorus-containing $tricarbonyl(η^{6}$-arene)chromium complexes has been synthesised via the enantioselective ortho-metallation approach using a chiral lithium amide base. Initial asymmetric reaction of a phosphine oxide complex allows the preparation of silyl- or stannyl-substituted products in ca. 73% ee, which then allows the preparation of other phosphine derivatives in very high ee (>95%) following phosphine reduction and enantiomeric enrichment. |
