Abstract	Depuis quelques années, la Suède mène une politique ambitieuse de réduction des prélèvements obligatoires : alors qu’en proportion du PIB, ceux-ci y atteignaient le plus haut niveau de la zone OCDE, la situation se normalise peu à peu. Cela étant, de nouvelles réformes seront sans doute nécessaires. À partir d’un seuil de revenu à peine supérieur au salaire moyen à plein temps, la fiscalité totale sur les revenus du travail (total des cotisations sociales, impôts sur le revenu et impôts sur la consommation) atteint encore 70 %. Il est probable que cette situation explique en partie la faible durée moyenne du travail et qu’elle nuit à l’entrepreneuriat, à la formation du capital humain et à l’embauche ou à la rétention de travailleurs étrangers très qualifiés. De même, les impôts sur les sociétés pourraient devenir un handicap de plus en plus sérieux étant donné la mobilité du capital. S’appuyant sur une étude récente de l’OCDE intitulée Taxation and Economic Growth, le présent chapitre analyse le système fiscal suédois et le besoin de nouvelles réformes dans ce domaine, en mettant l’accent sur les aspects du système qui revêtent le plus d’importance du point de vue de la croissance à moyen terme.
