Abstract Après une longue période de convergence réelle, le niveau de vie au Portugal a cessé de se rapprocher de la moyenne de la zone euro en 2000 et l’économie portugaise a continué de se ralentir en 2002 (graphique 1). Ce fléchissement de l’activité s’explique par l’affaiblissement de la conjoncture internationale et surtout par le processus d’ajustement de la demande privée engagé dès la mi-2000, le tout dans le contexte de sérieux déséquilibres macroéconomiques apparus à la fin des années 90, notamment un important déficit extérieur et un lourd endettement des ménages et des entreprises. En 2001, ces facteurs ont plus que compensé l’effet d’entraînement induit par une politique budgétaire expansionniste et des conditions monétaires relativement favorables. En 2002, le tassement de la demande intérieure s’est accentué du fait de l’orientation plus restrictive de l’action des pouvoirs publics, et notamment des mesures de rigueur budgétaire. La reprise de l’activité au Portugal devrait être plus tardive que dans les autres pays de la zone euro et sera très dépendante de la demande extérieure, la demande intérieure paraissant devoir rester peu dynamique pendant encore un certain temps...

About National Digital Library of India (NDLI)

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
