Abstract	Les résultats économiques sont demeurés médiocres pendant plus longtemps que dans de nombreux autres pays de l’OCDE. Il se dessine une reprise hésitante, entraînée par les exportations, mais il est peu probable que l’écart de production se réduise fortement à court terme, ce qui suscite un risque de déflation. En outre, le processus de convergence des revenus avec la zone euro s’est essoufflé, sous l’effet de la récession et d’une baisse de la croissance potentielle, reflétant la décélération de l’investissement et de la productivité. Les principaux défis à relever par les pouvoirs publics consistent à soutenir la reprise et à augmenter la croissance potentielle, ce qui semble imposer un renforcement de la concurrence dans le secteur des services et une amélioration de la transition de l’école à la vie active, deux thèmes abordés respectivement aux chapitres 1 et 2.
