| Abstract | La situation du marché du secteur de la viande se caractérise par des prix nominaux à la production élevés pour toutes les viandes, qui s’expliquent, du côté de la demande, par une croissance rapide des économies en développement et, du côté de l’offre, par les coûts élevés des intrants, notamment des céréales fourragères et de l’énergie consommée par exemple pour le transport et le stockage en entrepôt frigorifique. Les coûts des aliments pour animaux ayant tendance à se stabiliser quelque peu, une amélioration de la rentabilité devrait permettre l’expansion du secteur. Ces facteurs ont tendance à susciter des réactions plus marquées du côté de la demande intérieure dans les pays en développement, en faveur notamment des viandes meilleur marché et des morceaux de viande (volailles), ainsi que dans les zones où prédominent des systèmes de production à faible consommation d’intrants, tels que les pâturages. Du point de vue des politiques mises en œuvre, l’ouverture accrue des échanges internationaux de viande que pourrait provoquer l’adhésion à l’OMC de la Fédération de Russie, un des premiers importateurs de viande, instaurera un environnement commercial favorable pour le secteur. En ce qui concerne la volaille, la viande porcine et la viande ovine, la production et les échanges devraient augmenter à court terme, mais pour ce qui est de la viande bovine, ils devraient dans un premier temps être freinés par la réduction des effectifs du cheptel opérée ces dernières années dans les grandes régions exportatrices. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
