Abstract	Les dernières éditions des Perspectives agricoles de l’OCDE et de la FAO faisaient état du niveau élevé et de la volatilité des prix des produits agricoles de base. Elles soulignaient que les prix redescendraient sous l’effet de l’ajustement des marchés, mais qu’ils ne retomberaient pas à leur étiage antérieur en raison d’une demande toujours aussi forte et de la hausse du coût de certains intrants. Comme annoncé, ils ont commencé à fléchir, tout en restant relativement élevés. L’inflation des prix alimentaires au détail a nettement ralenti par rapport aux sommets atteints en 2008, de sorte que sa contribution à l’inflation globale diminue. Néanmoins, elle demeure élevée dans beaucoup de pays en développement et reste supérieure à l’inflation globale dans la majorité des pays étudiés.
