| Abstract | Contrairement à ce que l’on a pu observer sur les marchés des céréales, des oléagineux et des produits laitiers, les prix de la viande n’ont pas connu d’évolution spectaculaire en 2008. Cette différence tient en partie à ce que, la viande jouant un rôle relativement limité en tant que denrée de base et les capacités de stockage étant limitées, il n’y a guère de risque d’achats sous l’effet de la panique. Les prix élevés des céréales se traduisent par un niveau élevé du prix de l’alimentation pour le bétail dans les systèmes de production où les céréales entrent pour une grande part dans la composition de cette alimentation. Cependant, les producteurs n’ont qu’une capacité limitée à répondre à de brusques augmentations du coût des aliments pour le bétail, les décisions de production étant prises au début du cycle de production ils ne peuvent réagir rapidement aux signaux de prix. Ces deux faits sont probablement les deux principaux facteurs explicatifs de la stabilité relative des prix de la viande au cours de la récente période de turbulences. Les prix élevés des aliments pour le bétail et la modération du prix du bétail ont constitué un important problème pour les éleveurs. Les prix des céréales, et par conséquent celui des aliments pour le bétail, ont diminué considérablement depuis le milieu de l’année 2008, atténuant en partie la pression exercée sur les éleveurs. |

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources which is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but provides a host of services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, through its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching so that learners can find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time. NDLI provides user group-specific services such as Examination Preparatory for School and College students and job aspirants. Services for Researchers and general learners are also provided. NDLI is designed to hold content of any language and provides interface support for 10 most widely used Indian languages. It is built to provide support for all academic levels including researchers and life-long learners, all disciplines, all popular forms of access devices and differently-abled learners. It is designed to enable people to learn and prepare from best practices from all over the world and to facilitate researchers to perform inter-linked exploration from multiple sources. It is developed, operated and maintained from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
